T-1 day

T-1 day
Final preparations, cleaning, and such at home, then it was off to the Aloft Perth, for which I have a voucher. (Won in a contest at work - which is next door! Fortunately, my office is on the opposite side to the hotel to our room!) They also gave us a free upgrade, to a room on the second-to-top floor, with sweeping river views.

This hotel is brand-spanking-new. It has been open about six weeks, and is rather nice. It has some really neat touches, like a little lounge area with a table-tennis table, books, and fooseball.

We had dinner with Ros at the hotel restaurant, where I'd had a team lunch a couple of weeks ago. The food is rather nice - and I had a quick chat with one of the Call Centre folks who came in for his dinner. As a really welcome change, there were multiple choices for GF not only for mains, but for dessert as well. A rare thing!

The rooms also have some rather nice tromp l'oiel panels - see the photos!

Tomorrow, we fly!
