OK - so there's this idea of running the next photowalk over on Rotto on October 17th. What do people think?

This is a warning. Put this app down and walk away from the keyboard. It is shockingly insecure for this day and age, with pre-allocated simplistic usernames, and maximum 8 character passwords. Step away form this and the my.gov.au website. It is nothing more than a target for hackers. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=au.gov.dhs.expressplus.medicare

This was taken back in 2006 with our first digital camera, a Sony Mavica, that used floppies as the media! I don't know if Alicia Smith or I took this, but I just added a very light bit of elliptical blur and vignetting. It remains one of the best dolphin photos either of us have ever taken.

So, I've got an ETX-90, which is rather fun and very portable. Especially as I drive a Smart car. :) However...  Aligning it can be a little tricky. So, two questions. 1/ What techniques do people use to align your scopes in daylight? My math suggests I should be able to get Venus, and daylight tracking of the moon would be cool. 2/ How do you go about your initial north-south setup? "Beware! Bridge Moves"

Image
"Beware! Bridge Moves" Originally shared by Alicia Smith It is of vast amusement to me at the moment to see a ship called "Swan River Bridge" docked at Fremantle Harbour at the moment. Gave me quite a start when I used https://www.marinetraffic.com to see who was in. For those of you who aren't familiar with Perth, we're situated on the Swan River, which leads down to Fremantle. And wherever any of the structures that might be collectively called the Swan River Bridges might be - it ain't there! And certainly not with the potential for moving at any speed!
