The big question is "Will someone back the Ludicrous Level?"

Disclaimer: I've backed it, and I have been a playtester. I know what I'm getting into.

Last night Alicia Smith and I were joined by Roslyn Smith for dinner at The Wild Fig Cafe in an early celebration of Leece's upcoming birthday. This is a sample of their gorgeous food, and an unexpected opportunity for this week's theme, naturally
lit by the sun setting over the Indian Ocean.

This really does make me, as a photographer, think about the impact my images might have if taken into another context, or with a different commentary.

A great editorial about the enduring power of the motionless image from the BBC.

Hey! No one has shared this Ira Glass quote in like, six months! So it's time to share it again. One of the hardest parts of self-publishing I've found is this: I am confident in my writing now, at least on the non-fiction side of things. But the other things you have to do to publish a book and get it out there? There is a big freaking gap between what I want and what I can do.

Right. So you know that dratted climate change thing that our PM doesn't think is worth discussing at all, let alone at the G20 Australia is hosting?

Um. Well.

This is awkward...

This was buzzing around filming the Mandurah Triathlon - one of the big ones over here - as a part of the official media presence.

We had a chance to chat briefly with the crew while they were changing battery and data packs, and they were happy for us to photograph them, which was nice.
