We were up early to catch the bus to Hummelvik - a one hour bus trip, which included a ferry trip of its own to cross to one of the intermediate islands. This fed us into a ferry for the trip out to the island of Lappo - home to the only disc golf course in Ă…land. The ferry trip is two hours of stunning scenery, and is included in the €4.50 bus fare, but you do need to book. If you take a car, that costs.

Around 11:30 we reached Lappo, and a few minutes walk through the hamlet of Peppa's brought us to the start of the course. The course is extraordinary. The holes are double teed, with family and standard tees. And it makes for possibly the most visually stunning course anywhere, with sweeping views of the islands and the Baltic. It is not a long course, but it is extremely technical, and very demanding. It is not, however, a death-march like Mundaring.

We finished at around 2:30, giving us an hour for a picnic lunch before the return ferry. All in all, a magnificent day. It would be worth it just for the ferry trip and bus ride!
