Another early start - this time catching a taxi into town to get the #2 bus to Eckero at the far west of the main group. A the end of the line we were met by the owner of Nimix Kayak hire, who took us out to a very nice launch point and after a few suggestions of where to go, sent us on our way.

It was lovely to go with a tour group, but it was great to get out on our own, even if it wasin unfamiliar craft. We saw some wonderful wildlife, and even a grass snake. As we were paddling, though, a southerly wind blew up, making the return journey a bit of a struggle.

We eventually pulled in at Nimix's base, and the owner dropped us off at a cafe near the harbour. That walk was also fascinating, with the base of a leading light tower, and a wonderful gnarled tree.

After dinner back home, we set off to see a movie, at the wonderful Deco era Bio Savoy. Valerian was a hoot! Fantastic world building, super characters, and more movie in-jokes than you could poke a stick at. Awesome fun!
