As much as I hate to admit it, they've done a pretty good job of unreclaiming* this bit of river.

*The Esplanade area is all reclaimed land, so this is nothing more than putting the river back where it was!

After the bell tower (which I hate :P) they statistically would have to do something right ;) I want to go down sometime and check out the curly bridge :)
