Ahead of last night's rain, Alicia Smith and I spent a dramatic afternoon down at Mandurah, despite things like partial track closures!
The sky put on a great display for us, and it gave me a chance to try out my new 12-24mm zoom - a birthday present thanks in large part to Maureen Gell, Stephen Gunnell, Ruth Kerr, and Philip Kerr.
It has a 100 degree FoV at the widest, without the characteristic distortion of a fisheye (10mm for my camera), and gives me a chance at these wide and dramatic skies that I struggled with before. I look forward to trying it out with my timelapse gear and a clear night sky!

Nice work, Rob. I'm glad you were able to purchase something to your taste.
