Meanwhile, Christmas in Australia

This magnificent work has been evolving for the last four years, just down the street from me. Growing from an initial 70-odd cans to the current more than 200, it began life a the remains of a birthday party that had too much rubbish to dispose of in one hit.

This year I finally decided to get a photo of it, and just in time, as this will be the last year it appears.

So enjoy this last look at a local icon, and tribute to Australian values: mateship, ingenuity, and beer.
