Matt Crace on the Weekly Photo Project. I'm still two down on my target, but every thing he says holds true.

Except for getting one of them published! Good work there, Matt!

Last January, I committed to a weekly photo challenge. I'm two shots away from reaching my goal/resolution.

Over the past 50 weeks, this project has had a huge influence on my life.
• I've met some truly awesome people from around the globe.
• I am a better photographer than I was a year ago.
• One of my 52 shots will be in a book to be published sometime this year.
I really struggle to believe in my work but I keep trying. The quote from Jack Nicklaus I used at week 30 has really carried with me. Not just about the camera and the shot but about life's ups and downs.
"Resolve never to quit, never to give up, no matter what the situation."
The reason I'm sharing this is that I'm not only signed up to participate in the weekly project for 2015, I've also been selected to be part of the moderating team.
The weekly themes have been chosen and are in place. There are no surprises, you know well in advance what to shoot.
It's a place for everyone! Beginners to pros, big cameras to iPhones, it doesn't matter. You will be welcomed and encouraged throughout the year. Unless you specifically ask for a critique your photos will be welcome without harsh words.
So, if you're looking to:
• improve your photography skills
• have some fun with your camera
• meet and interact with some really awesome people from around the globe
• reach an obtainable 2015 resolution
Please take a look at joining the 2015 WPP (weekly photo project), we would love to have you!
