We're two days out from the start of the 2015 Aussie Open - the Southern Hemisphere's first Major, and the crew are putting the finishing touches on the course up here in Mundaring, Western Australia, in 38C heat. The Finns, Germans, and Americans are loving it!

  1. Mundaring is at the top of the Darling Scarp, a ridgeline that runs North-South about 30km inland from Perth. Granite and pea-gravel are the order of the day up here, but the WA trees have adapted to this frequently harsh environment, and it is quite beautiful, if very hot. It is typically 5-10 degrees Celsius hotter than Perth in summer. And 5-10 colder in winter. More photos as things progress.
