My first attempt at a chromakey shoot. I had my subject a bit close to the screen, so I had some reflected green spill that I've had to clean up, but overall I'm pretty pleased. This is something I'm going to be playing with a lot more, I think.
Additional equipment: Rear fill flash with optical slave, gold reflector opposite, pop-up green-screen (1.2mx2m), softbox on flash.
Edited in The Gimp.
Also: Handy hint - if your subject suffers from Frozen Face in front of a camera, shoot a few hundred shots - eventually the face relaxes! :)
Wow... Great shot!

Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteGreat tip too.
ReplyDeleteGreat tip Rob Masters :-)
ReplyDeleteReally nice portrait - good to find another GIMP user as well :)
ReplyDeleteRob Masters Nice! Did you use a luminosity mask to remove the green background?
ReplyDeleteI used a colour selection mask, using http://registry.gimp.org/node/28296 , plus some manual cleanup.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous portrait Rob!! Rob Masters
