I've just had the pleasure of reading "Sharp Shooter" by Marianne Delacourt (Twelfth Planet Press), and it a hoot. A gumshoe with a twist, and just a hint of paranormal, it pushes all my buttons at once. Light and funny, but at the same time compelling and exciting. As an added treat, it is set in Perth, and while some of the suburb and business names have been changed, locals will spot where they are instantly. Add to that a wonderfully engaging cast, and you have a winner.

There are three books in the series so far, with number four on the way. Available via Google Books, iTunes, etc, etc, and your FLBS.

Maybe seeking some great waterfall to encounter a perilous foe, it instead meets a sweet and charming Emmental. Romance blossoms, the Cheddar settles - foe forgotten, and the two have a child.
