Well, Alicia Smith and I are just back from another Fringe show, this time a remarkable adagio/acrobalance show "A Simple Space", by the WA troupe Gravity and Other Myths.
And what an extraordinary show.
Using only the simplest of props, the seven acrobats perform to their absolute limits - sometimes competing, often cooperating, and sometimes both at once.
From strip skipping (don't worry, nothing shows), to some of the most intricate and precise passes of each other imaginable, the show is full steam ahead. Even when the action appears to pause, extraordinary things are happening.
Even the audience gets in on the act - in both one of the most competitive of the sequences, and one of the most graceful demonstrations of trust I have seen on stage.
10/10 and Cirque du Soleil in your living room on the Sid and Nancy scale.
