So if "Offence is always taken, not given" as the Senator states, why not repeal the libel laws as well? Let anyone say anything about anyone or anything. By his standards, if I were to refer to him as "a dangerously bigotted senile moron" (which would be libelous if I were to do so), he should have no recourse.

After all, what is good for the goose...
