Do you think Google robots are far behind? Some robotocists think its important to make robots look and behave like things in nature, so humans can better interact with them.   1. "the other reasons to do this as well" is, of course, remote surveillance (and that's where the funding money comes from). "look! up in the sky? is it a bird? is it a plane? is it an autonomous ministry of cultural purity weaponized stealth drone?"
