Perth is effectively built on a swamp (and continues to be built and rebuilt almost constantly) - fortunately a number of the lakes and swamps have been preserved and rehabilitated over the years. This shot looks over part of Herdsman's Lake at the Perth CBD, in the last rays of the Autumn sun. And in the foreground, the iconic Black Swan.
